About Keith D. Saunders

Keith Daniel Saunders Sr. is an award-winning educator, author, and community leader whose career in education spans more than three decades. From his early days as a classroom teacher to his years as a respected principal, Keith has dedicated his life to shaping young minds and strengthening the communities he serves.
Beyond the classroom, Keith’s commitment to service runs deep. He is the Founder and President of S.O.N.I.A.Y., Inc. (Saunders’ Omnipresent Network Inspiring America’s Youth), a nonprofit youth empowerment program that equips the next generation with confidence, purpose, and leadership skills. He also serves as a Deacon at The House of Judah Church in West Sayville, New York, where he continues to pour into others through faith and mentorship.
Keith’s passion for inspiring change led him to launch KDS Enterprises, where he provides keynote presentations, workshops, and training for schools, faith communities, businesses, and organizations. His talks are rooted in resilience, faith, and leadership — lessons drawn from his personal journey and his acclaimed memoir, Roosevelt to the Hamptons: The War on Both Sides.
Keith has been honored with numerous awards for his impact, including recognition from the National Action Network, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Nassau Community College, and the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists. Yet above all, he is most proud to be a devoted husband to his wife Angela and a father to their twins, Keith and Grace.
